Earlier this year, the Trump administration proposed weakening the first-ever federal limits on toxic PFAS chemicals in drinking water, which were finalized last year. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is trying to scrap limits on four PFAS chemicals and delay limits on two others. If the EPA succeeds, millions of New Yorkers will be left exposed to harmful chemicals when they turn on the tap, putting their health at risk.
